The clothing brand of the sisters Florine and Paulette Stijger

In 2019 Stygr started as a slow fashion clothing brand. From designing the collection, drawing out the patterns and purchasing the fabrics, to assembling the garment on the sewing machine. Ieach item was handmade by sisters Florine and Paulette Stijger in their studio in Haarlem, The Netherlands.

Almost two years later, they decided to focus on their most beautiful product: the bomber jacket. Since this is the most labour-intensive piece of clothing, they decided to seek help with the production process.
Part of the collection is now produced by a studio in Amsterdam. They find it important to be able to continue to produce on a small scale and on their own soil. With this they are responding to the slow fashion movement. There is already enough waste due to mass production in our economy.

Florine and Paulette: "We describe our online boutique as a candy store with jackets with many different flavors. Something for everyone. We hope to reach women (and maybe men too!) who attach more value to where the clothes come from and whom want to spend a little more on a unique item. We think the right outfit can really make your day! And with a Stygr bomber jacket you always give your outfit a unique touch.

Especially with the milder winters in the Netherlands, we like to wear our Stygr bomber jackets all year round. The perfect jacket for spring and autumn, but also suitable for a cooler summer day and in winter with some extra layers underneath.
We are very happy with the Stygr jackets ourselves and hope that our collection will also have this effect on others."
